PROJECT LOCATION
Aldoar, Porto, Portugal
The project was designed for a family of six, four of them young boys, requiring indoor and outdoor playground spaces to satisfy their recreational activities' needs.
Located in a residential urban block, the project had to follow its rules of plot implementation and volumetry.
Two floors wouldn't be enough to respond to such a vast program for such a numerous family. The need of increase the area of ventilated and lightened spaces emerged and it led to the design of a basement opened to a lower patio adjacent to the street. This solution allowed having a green backyard, free of any construction, where the children can set up their football goals and volleyball nets.
